About Miyoshi Knox.
Miyoshi Knox is a creative, energetic, and colorful soul who inspires and ignites passion in others. With over 23 years of experience in Chicago Public Schools, she has excelled as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and Director of School Supports. Miyoshi specializes in active listening, leadership development, multidimensional thinking, and creating processes for innovation and change management.
Recently, she took a leap of faith into Higher Education, joining Wheaton College’s Billy Graham Center as the Director of the Preaching Institute, where she utilized her expertise and expanded her skill in curriculum development. Her leadership has earned her the 2019 LEAP Innovations Leader Award and the 2020 Chicago Public Schools Distinguished Leader Award.
Miyoshi is also a proud mother of four adult sons, mother-in-law to three wonderful daughters, and grandmother to 12 grandchildren. She brings light and love wherever she goes and has a deep passion for people, always striving to make meaningful connections.
A sought-after speaker, Miyoshi has addressed audiences at the Power Trip Leadership Summit and SXSW EDU in 2022. She has also been featured as a spotlight guest for LiberatED Way, WGN People to People, and EdWeb.net. Through her LLC, The Leadership Perspective, Miyoshi now lives out her dream of supporting leaders worldwide, encouraging them to lead with vulnerability, transparency, and compassion as an executive coach and consultant.
